The Nilkantha Trust for Studies on Bay of Bengal Region (NTSBBR), Kolkata is a not- for- profit organization, established in 2020, by a few Kolkata-based academics and researchers, and is an initiative that aims to raise awareness about the growing problems impacting the lives of people, both locally as well as globally in all its manifestation. In particular, it aims to be a platform for researchers, commentators, social activists, wild life enthusiasts and other socially motivated individuals, groups, students, amongst others, to increase awareness and provide alternatives to improve conditions of human existence in sync with as also the with globalisation, free movement of predatory capital, environment challenges, climate change, etc., facing mankind and all living organisms.
